Baccalaureus Artium (60000) (BA)

Candidates must comply with the matriculation requirements as set out in the General Prospectus under Admission to the University.  The programme shall extend over at least three years of full-time study or four years of part-time study.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:  Candidates may apply for excemption from certain modules on grounds of prior learning, provided that such learning can be shown to be relevant to the specified outcomes of the curriculum of study concerned.

Second year:

  • Coping Skills
  • Health Psychology
  • Psychopathology
  • The Professional Helping Process and Intervention

Third year: 

  • Psychometrics 
  • Psychological Research Methods
  • Cognitive and Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Personality Pychology
  • Statistical Methods in Behavioural Science

In consultation with the Department, candidates may also accummulate additional psychology credits from various applied psychology modules. Elective modules are only offered during the day.

A total of 360 credit are required to complete this qualification of which 72 credits must be 3rd year level modules
