
Dr Johan Cronje has a PhD in Psychology and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, specialising in modules that teach research methodology, quantitative data analysis, and research writing. ResearchGate lists 21 of his publications and he has 26 national and international conference presentations. He has successfully supervised 4 PhD and 11 master’s research studies. He is currently supervising various honours and master’s research studies. Johan has diverse research interests that include Psychological Assessment Research, Child Development, Trauma, LGBTQIA+, and HIV/AIDS.
He was a co-author of the Griffiths III Scales of Child Development, an international gold standard assessment for young children. He is a member of the Association for Research in Infant and Child Development (UK) and continues his involvement in test development as the statistical consultant for the ARICD.
Johan’s passion for human development comes through in his warm lecturing style that strives to draw students into the lecturing content and create a sense of enjoyment in their academic journey.
