
Professor Magnolia Bahle Ngcobo-Sithole holds a leadership position in the department of psychology as the Head of the Department and contributes to the Faculty of Health and University management committees. She is a clinical psychologist by profession. She joined Nelson Mandela University in 2018 where she facilitates learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
She contributes to knowledge creation through the mentoring and supervision of Honours, Master’s and PhD students’ research projects. She has a special interest in the alleviation of gender-based violence. As a clinician she has contributed to the South African population by providing psychological services to all those in need while she was employed by the department.
She serves as a board member on the HPCSA professional board for psychology where she informs policy development related to the psychology profession.
